Watson Port St. Lucie’s Vice President and Managing Broker Geannina Mejia-Acevedo recently became designated as a Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager
The CRB designation is for experienced owners, brokers, managers, and supervisors to raise professional standards, strengthen individual and office performance, and sharpen expertise in brokerage management, according to NAR.
Geannina was required to take a series of classes at the university level including Business Planning, Profitability, and Recruiting for Success. However, because she has a bachelor’s in business and hotel administration from Cornell and Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra and is a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) she was able to accelerate her program requirements.
“For me and my office this designation elevates our professional standards and enhances our individual and office performances,” said Geannina. “This translates into my associates having a broker that has obtained one of the most prestigious designations, and as a result I am able to guide them, coach them, and train them into more productive and successful careers at a higher level of expertise.”
The CRB designation was established in 1968 and only 3% of REALTORS® have met the requirements of this designation.
“I am proud to say I am one of them, and I vowed to use my knowledge for the career advancement of my associates and the industry in general for over 22 years of my career,” said Geannina.
Geannina completed her requirements in December 2019 and obtained her official designation in February of this year.
